03/02/22 - Hollywood Eyes and Supports @ EBGBS Liverpool

3rd February 2022

Thursday night saw me back in the fabulous city of Liverpool for a fantastic gig with not one, not two, but THREE bands I enjoy. But the headline band is the absolute best in the entire world. Facts. Turns out A LOT of people knew me at this show, life around gigs is getting so crazy now. I get to see a lot of different towns and cities and get to enjoy the terrific bands and soloists that are in them. It's the best hobby ever!!! Expensive yes but still amazing!!! Photos are lacking for this one as my brand new phone which cost a fortune thinks it's ok to delete everything and leave me with 4 photos.

The Venue

The gig was held again at EBGBS bar in Liverpool. I had my hotel right on its doorstep this time so I could get down super early for the best spot and meet with anyone I knew and get the drinks in of course. EBGBS has been written about in my blogs a few times now and the venue is just so lovely and so small and so cute. It is also really hidden in a basement setting which I just love.

Paint Me in Colour

Paint me in Colour. A new band on my list but heck they are so so good. This was my first time seeing them but I knew almost every song as I like to do the work and put in the effort of learning the words to songs. I would happily go back and see these guys perform again. They are quirky and unique in so many ways and their songs are really upbeat and enjoyable. You can really have a good time when these guys are in the building. I would love to one day meet them properly and I can't wait for the future with these guys. I will continue to support them all the way. I wish them all the best in the future and can't wait for the next time I can get to a show.

Waiting till Marriage

Waiting till Marriage are not new to me. I've known them a while now and they smash it every single time. Really sweet lads. They had a brilliant set and I enjoyed every single song they played. I still adore the fact they are still around as they make me so happy. I can't wait for more shows I can get to, these lads are going far and rocking the house down as they do it. I wish them all the best and I am 100% continuing to support them on their journey. I am really excited about what the future has to offer. Well done!

Hollywood Eyes

Ok, so this is the part of the blog where I get really soppy, cringe and end up writing a really big essay-type section. So buckle up and crack on reading 😂
I adore these lads a hell of a lot and they are right at the top of my list with More in Luv coming a close second (3/4 were at the gig actually) Hollywood Eyes are my entire world and they have my entire heart and all the support and love I could possibly give them. There is no other band like it really. It sounds super corny and embarrassing but I honestly do not care. Everyone who surrounds this band knows and loves me, the lads love me. I try and get to every show going and I recently endured an hour of pain and my worst fear of needles for them to have a logo tattooed onto me forever. They all got to see it last night and it went down a treat with everyone. I couldn't be any happier to see these lads again.

Their set was the best, despite them not thinking so. I want to send the message of they need to not put themselves down when things go wrong or not as things planned. They are all so talented and can make anything work, and make it work in the best possible way. They played a brilliant set with all my favourite songs in it so I could really go for it and hype them up and scream and go a bit wild. I honestly just love everything about them and everything they do. They also do a lot for me, make time for me and all sorts, which is why I feel so proud to have a part of them on me forever. I am never leaving these guys I see them as friends now and they are always so chuffed to see me turn up to shows and I like to believe I'm somewhat of a good luck charm. After 4 years I'm part of the furniture. They support me as much as I support them, and I love it. I can't wait to review London!!!!!
