HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! (update)

Before I start my next gig review post, I want to say thanks for being so patient during December. Gigs sadly dried up so everyone could settle for the Christmas period and I couldn't get to as many as I wanted as I had to work more. Best thing is, more money!!! sort of. I hope everyone had a nice festive period and new year. I had to work new year!!

23!! I'm getting old.

6th Jan: I got my birthday off and got to spend it with some amazing people including a band I met in October last year!!! big 23 now. I also went "out out" for the first time in years and attended quids in with £1 drinks. Free shots in every bar and a sprained knee after sliding on some ice after a tray of god knows how many Jagerbombs!!! I'm not resting however. At the time of writing this I just got back home from a long 6 hour coach trip down to London (next blog post)

My lovely makeup work
7th Jan: Took a slight turn for the strange and bizarre. So I spent my entire birthday with my bestie Jess and we went bowling had Nandos went thrifting in Vintage Viola and just checked out Warrington. Amazing little town, home to some amazing bands (looking at you 32Tens) She stayed at my place and we took a trip to uni as I had my assessment for semester 1. And I turned my girl into an alien!!! I will post pics as she looks fab!! Love her for helping me out so much.

8th Jan: My birthday weekend closed with a small gig in an unlikely place. HMV in Chester!! I went to support a new fave band of mine called The Montagues. Sadly they aren't written about yet in my blogs BUT damn they will be soon. I'm planning on spending more time with those lads, they're so sweet. I picked up their EP and I got it signed because they are super sweet and just wanted to go out of their way to make me happy. Sounds familiar? it should, because 95% of bands i know do the exact same thing. Make me happy. I adore them all. I'll attach some photos below.

My new faves The Montagues.

11th Jan: I got a text!!! no its not love island, but instead the tattoo parlour, wanting to bring my appointment forward 2 days. I jumped at the chance because well this session was a very special session. 1 hour being jabbed in the arm with ink and i got a new tattoo (my 3rd!) which is dedicated to a band who mean the entire world to me. Hollywood Eyes. I got told not to get bands tattooed into my skin but i thought why not, i mean I'm 23 now and feeling up for some major dedication time. The lads did send me a logo they had designed for me in December so i got that inked on my arm. AND THEY LOVE IT!!! They love me way more but they literally do anything for me and i give my all back in so many different ways. I wanted a rose tattoo anyway so this was just the next part to make it perfect. I'd love to get all bands tattooed onto me but i think every band needs their own supporter/friend who does that for each one so ill leave that to someone else.
My new tattoo dedicated to Hollywood Eyes.

I've just realised how long this is actually getting, but i could talk about these boys all day and night if i could. Known Ryan, Ant and Chris for 4 years and Connor and George for 1 year in August. But holy cow they're soooooo amazinggg. I always talk so highly of them and i really think they do the same for me. I'd like to think so, i couldn't have it any other way. But seeing as I'm now branded by personal choice I'm defo staying and not going anywhere!! I'm so excited for 3rd Feb when ill be able to blog another headliner of theirs. Little me is obviously gonna cry again during the last song because that's what i do hahah.

So that was my new year. And a whole ass essay about my fave band and the meaning of my new tattoo, my other tats don't have meanings much so this one is really really special. For 5 special lads who literally are my entire world now, especially with a lot of big changes happening in life. One of my best pals of 7 years is moving abroad. and this year I also graduate uni. Ill be holding onto Hollywood Eyes so much this year and getting to every show they have. and i can look at my tattoo whenever i need to, because lets face it I'm too annoying to bombard singers with my personal life. (thanks Jason for the gaslighting hun xoxo)

2022 is going to be such a wicked year. I might add on a gig list for you all so if you see a gig you're attending too, wether you're performing or just attending. COME SAY HEYYYY!!!! I love making new friends.

See you all soon!!

Court xxx
