My second proper gig of the year!!! I took the super long trip to Liverpool to see a band I know and love and a band I recently found and I now adore. Travelling wasn't great as I had to go via Wigan going then via Manchester back. Horrible stuff 😂
The venue
Jimmy's is a venue I have visited loads of times now. And every time I go I love the place more and more and more. I even have begun to recognise staff members. I'm pretty sure if I lived nearby I'd be working there. But it is a really nice place and has a wicked student discount which I sometimes like to use to get bands that play there to like me. 😂
More In Luv
The first band was the only support act of the evening. But also a fantastic band I have had the pleasure of knowing since August 2021!!! These lads are FANTASTIC!!! Like they're keepers in my books because they are all so genuine with me and always enjoy seeing me at shows. Their performance was like any other. Brilliant. I couldn't fault anything with their performance and they always get crowds going with their feel-good tunes and vibes in general. I simply cannot rate these lads anymore because they are so fun to be around and their music is brilliant. I can't wait for all the new stuff these guys have in store and I can't wait to review them at more shows too. They're also all local to Liverpool which is even better for me as I am always at Liverpool gigs when I can be. I even enjoyed catching up with these lads over drinks before the show even began! Keep up the good work guys and I can't wait for what 2022 brings for you all.

DECO
Deco are a band I haven't known that long. But I managed to sweat their entire discography on Spotify in 24 hours and so far I have really enjoyed what they bring. Their performance was just as good Friday night too. They did a really lively set and got everyone moving and singing. They also have the best cover of Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve. They are defo keepers as I write this I am sitting in the t-shirt I bought and listening again to their music as I am seeing them again tomorrow in Manchester. (25th Jan)
They are a really cool band from near London. So I can see myself traveling again yay, and they scream 80s vibes, very retro but with a modern twist which I am actually loving so much!!! They reminded me of the likes of Wham and I bet they could blast out last Christmas and no one would tell the difference! These guys got more popular because of the app TikTok and I have indeed followed them on there too. They are also one of those rare bands that put my home city of Preston on their tours. One day I'll be up there too. I really can't wait to get to know this band better. I got to speak to them after their show at merch and they're all lovely and I can't wait for tomorrow's show in Manchester. So expect another write-up. I'm excited to see what this band brings. Great performance, great music, can't wait for more!
