The Montagues @ The Jacaranda 09/04/22

09/04/22 - The Jacaranda club, Liverpool

A 2 hour trip over 2 trains and a lot of walking to my hotel and back saw me in Liverpool. Which is one of the best cities for live music and the best venues. I was back in the city to again see The Montagues, who just have my heart. I’ll do anything for this band.

The Venue

The Jacaranda has been featured in my write ups before, the basement area used for gigs is an amazing little space complete with bar! Gotta love a good bar 😆 I do enjoy gigs here and I hope to have this cute little venue featured here in my blogs for many months and years to come. I can’t wait to be back again for even more shows!!!

Grace Nicole

First to perform was the fabulous Grace Nicole. This was my second time seeing Grace and she was just as fantastic as the first time I saw her live!! Her voice is so powerful and I could honestly just listen to her sing for hours on end. Hailing from Warrington, she is a star in the making and I can’t wait to see her more often and have her included in more write ups. She brought an amazing set full of originals songs and covers (we love balance) Grace has so much room to grow and I just know she is going to get more and more talented in the years to come. She is amazing. I got to have a little chat with Grace before her set and I got lovely comments on the previous write up. So here’s the second instalment. I beg anyone reading this from Warrington or not, go and see Grace when she performs. I would love for her to have so much support especially from my wonderful readers. I really enjoyed seeing her again and I’m looking forward to the next time I can travel out for her. Well done Grace!!

Lucky Iris

Lucky Iris are new in my books, I only started listening to them about a week ago but long enough to actually recognise and sing a few of their songs during their set. What a duo they are!! Maeve and Jasper are fantastic at what they do and their sound is just what I enjoy. I got to have a chat with them after their set as they kindly stood around and they seem so kind and so genuine. No one likes an artist with an ego. They had a brilliant set filled with lots of original tracks and I had a great time listening, singing and just vibing. I really hope i get to see Lucky iris more often!! With possible trips around the UK for them. They deserve all the support that they get and I hope more people will go and check them out. I hope I can stick by them for a very long time and I can’t wait for the next steps in years to come. Well done Lucky Iris you earned yourself a brand new follower.

The Underclass

Next to take the Jacaranda stage was the fantastic band that is The Underclass. Hailing from Stoke, these guys have an amazing sound and a brilliant stage presence. They really wowed crowds with their brilliant sound. They had a set with mostly original songs, which sound really good and can be checked out on major streaming platforms. I got to thank them very briefly for a great set and a great start to the most amazing night ever!! I really hope I get to see these guys again one day with a possible trip to see them play on home ground in Stoke. Go check them out if you can. They truly deserve it!!!

The Montagues

Last to perform as headliners were the incredibly talented, and most amazing lads The Montagues. Who played the best gig so far that I have seen since I first saw them last year!! I can talk about these lads for ages, so I’ll try and keep it short. An all original set really got the crowd going and of course me who rocked up in full merchandise and just went for it hard on the front row. This gig was up there with some of the greatest shows I have attended ever!! It was great just to let go and forget everything and just enjoy myself. The Montagues are super lovely and I had a nice time, I even got to speak to them before and after their set and the more I am in their company, the more I just adore these guys. They are the most genuine and I can’t wait for more shows, more memories to make and even more great times to be had!! My next gig of theirs is Focus Wales in May. They’ll be missed terribly until then but time flies!! Drinks are on me!!!
