Friday saw me take another trip into Liverpool for another amazing show. I checked into my hotel, grabbed food got ready and went to party!!!! An amazing show followed by an amazing evening afterwards..... until about 3am 😂
The Venue
The Jacaranda club is again a venue I had never gigged in before. But it has a little bit of everything from what I saw. Upon entry the middle floor has a bar and is a working pub and it was rammed. The top floor is a record label and the basement is used for gigs!!!! The basement is a small space with a tiny stage and a bar. I thought it was really cute and really gave off that intimate feeling which I really adore about small venues.
The matriarchy
First onstage was a band called The Matriarchy. A new band on my list, who I really enjoyed listening to. They drew in a crowd of locals which was amazing to see. Their set was amazing too. Filled with a mix of covers and originals to get everyone going. I would actually like to see more of these guys because with a bit of work they will go places and I can't wait to hear their name again at more gigs across Liverpool and the UK itself. I wish them all the best of luck for the future and I can't wait to catch them at another show soon.

Dead Rebel
Next up was a band called Dead Rebel. They played a fab set which was all new to me. More new music to take in. Only issue I had was that they needed their vocals turning up a little but apart from that, these guys are amazing. Especially when they have the most talented drummer I have seen. I know lots of drummers in bands but this lad honestly just went for it every song and was amazing. I would love to come back and see these guys again at another show, and I hope anyone getting to read this goes and checks them out because they honestly deserve all the love and all the support. I am in the process of checking them out properly so I can return to Liverpool and see them again. I wish them all the best of luck for the future and I hope to hear the name Dead Rebel a lot.

Guise
Everything about them I just adore so much. I have only known them since October 2021 but they've quickly became one of my favourites. Their set was brilliant. Last time I saw them they were only a support act. I was naturally excited for this show as they had a headline slot. I was so right. Every single song they played really well and I really hope they know how amazingly talented they really are. Guise also recently got themselves a new drummer who seems to be a really lovely lad and is super talented!!!
Louie did a fantastic job on vocals and is just super sweet too. Kept the entire crowd going even when things didn't go as planned.
The entire gig was amazing and I really enjoy the music that Guise produce. I honestly hope that they keep going as they are only going to get better and better. They have a unique sound and style that keeps everyone coming back again and again for more.
I hope to attend many more shows in the future, and the future just looks amazing for Guise. Keep going you're all fab.
