Saturday 6th November: Paint me in colour live at EBGBS (Ft Waiting till Marriage)

Disclaimer: Just some info before I begin writing this blog entry. I couldn't actually see Paint Me In Colour due to me having a train at half 10 in the evening, and the main purpose of going was to watch Waiting Till Marriage. Just to avoid confusion. I will be writing about the artists I saw up to my departure. I will however follow up with paint me in colour at a future show and review them then.

Straight after the gig in Birkenhead, I made my way over into Liverpool centre and headed to EBGBS bar down again into the basement area to mainly watch Waiting till Marriage. But I found myself growing fond of the other supports there as well. Known as Esme and Guise.

Esme

First up was Esme. A sweet little singer who had lovely vocals and who could play the guitar at the same time. Suited up to match the theme of the gig which was high school prom-themed. She played a few original songs and I really enjoyed the vibe she gave off. She also drew a bit of a crowd and everyone seemed to really like her, including myself. I would most definitely go see her again if I get the chance to do so. I'm giving Esme a cute 9/10 based on what I experienced. Definitely go and support her.

Next up were a band called Guise, and boy they were different. I haven't seen a band like this in a while, they're unique in every way possible. I'm hoping they gig in Liverpool loads because I'm wanting to go back. I managed to say hi to their lead singer outside the venue and thanked her for a wonderful set. They're crazy good, and I'm giving them a solid 9/10 only because they are very new to me but I really did enjoy their set and they attracted a fair few people who also enjoyed their set. Their music is lively and is fab to have a dance to and go wild. Also, as a makeup artist, I loved some of the members' makeup they did on the night, it was unique and a bit wild which is what I love. Can't wait to hear their name more often in the music scene and attend more of their shows. Defo a must-see and a must follow, they deserve all the support in the world and deserve to go far.

Finally, the band I was waiting for, Waiting till Marriage. A fantastic band with fantastic music. I've known these lads since I was about 18 (Minus Brandon, but he's a darling anyway) and I've always stuck by them and their new stuff makes me want to stick with them even more. They are maturing every day and I am enjoying them more and more every time I see them. I have a few new mates out of them and it's just wonderful. These lads make my day. Their set did not disappoint on Saturday. They smashed it and did a fantastic job. They also have a headline show on 11th December and I just know it's going to be brilliant. I am trying my best to make it but work in the makeup industry and my other job (KFC) is far greater in December, it's give or take for now. But I just know whether I make it or not the show will be an amazing one. I'm giving these lads a solid 10/10 because they've grown so much and Brandon is a perfect fit for the band, he's a little superstar and super genuine and lovely to talk to just like Adam, Liam and Ieuan are. I'm so excited for the future and I can't wait for more. Congrats guys.

This gig was fantastic from what I saw and I wish I could have stayed longer but I would have been stuck in Liverpool, I did actually get stuck in Manchester due to train delays. I do however plan to see Paint me in colour and I hope they had a fantastic rest of their gig. It was really fun and they're the only group I know that sell brownies at their show!!! Hopefully, our paths will cross again soon. 8/10 for the gig overall.
